What is clear from the title and description is the framing: “tactical,” a forty-day push, and an expectation that you are doing this alongside other men rather than alone. If military metaphor grates on you, this book will grate on you. That style is a real fork in the men’s-ministry market and neither side is wrong.
The self-published question
This is a 2025 self-published title, which is the profile we treat carefully, because that corner of the market is full of anonymous forty-day devotionals churned out in batches. This one is not that. The author is named, verifiable, and has a two-decade ministry record you can check. We are keeping it on that basis.

What we removed
The old review reported feedback from men in the Called to Better community and quoted a reviewer saying it “pressed into who should I become.” We could not verify that quote and the community feedback did not happen. Both are gone.
