Do not buy this on its own
This is the most important thing on the page. The Participant’s Guide requires the Leader’s Guide, which is where the actual study content lives. The Participant’s Guide is a personal workbook for tracking your own notes, Scripture, and next steps.
If a man buys this by itself expecting a book, he gets a workbook for a study he does not have. One Leader’s Guide (ISBN 978-1-0696936-0-0) covers a whole group, so the normal order is one Leader’s Guide plus one Participant’s Guide per man.
What the study is
Ten sessions built on 2 Peter 1:5-8, where Peter tells believers to add to their faith a sequence of qualities. The seven the study works through are goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection, and love. That is where the name comes from.
Anchoring a men’s study to a single passage and staying there for ten weeks is a better design than most. It keeps the group in Scripture rather than in a series of themed talks, and 2 Peter 1 is unusually well suited to it because Peter already supplies the structure.
Who Impactus is
Impactus is a Canadian men’s discipleship ministry, formerly known as Promise Keepers Canada. It is an accredited charity. This is denominationally broad evangelical material rather than the product of one church or tradition.
What we removed
The old review quoted the book saying “Every effort you make cultivates the man you are meant to be” and quoted a participant saying the F7 journey had sparked a revolution in his everyday life. We could not verify either. It also ran an invented FAQ and a “Reviewer Reflections” section. All gone.
Where we land
A well-designed ten-week study for an existing group of men, from a ministry that has been doing this for a long time. Just make sure someone in the group buys the Leader’s Guide, or you will have ten workbooks and no study.
